Tests:
Jung Typology Test: This personality test, which is based on Carl Jung's and Isabel Myers Briggs Theory allows you to see your 4-letter type formula. I had to answer questions using a scale
from "yes" to "no". These questions asked about situational circumstances that I had to be aware about. After I took the test, I got ISTJ for my personality type. It means that I am an inspector who has a keen sense of right and wrong. I was not surprised that I got this because I consider myself as an introvert and usually like knowing my plans ahead of time. I also like to be on time for appointments and events that I attend. Overall, this test seems to be accurate for my personality since the characteristics that I was given matches myself.
The Big Five Personality Test: For this test, I had to answer questions relating to the "Big Five": Extraversion, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, Negative Emotionality, and Open-Mindedness. Each of the five traits has its own section with situational questions. I had to answer the questions using a scale from "disagree" to "agree". For my score, I got 25, 75, 48, 50, and 67. I was mostly not surprised of my scores because it seems to represent me. My low score on extraversion is accurate since I am more of an introvert and prefer to be reserved sometimes. I got a high score on agreeableness, which means that I am cooperative and trust people easily. Since I prefer to jump between tasks and have more liberal beliefs, I got a low score on conscientiousness. My score for negative emotionality was in the middle, which means that I can handle stressful situations only sometimes. I got a high score on open-mindedness, which is accurate because I am curious about a lot of things and is open to new ideas. The validity of this test matches my personality. Most of the characteristics that I was shown after the test represents my thinking for those situational questions.
Extroversion Introversion Test: For this test, I answered questions relating to characteristics of being an introvert or extrovert. Many of the questions revolved around sociability and how comfortable I am in certain situations. I had to think through some of the questions a lot since my actions I take usually depends on my mood. According to the test result, my sociability is a 41 out of 100. The report says that I enjoy socializing more intimate groups of people. I was not surprised of this result since I usually like staying around the people I am familiar with than being with strangers. It also says that I managed to to have a good balance between spending time with close friends and involving myself in a larger social network. Overall, the validity of this test is pretty accurate for me. I am not always the most outgoing person and would prefer to have some alone time.
Locus of Control and Attributional Style Test: This test had questions asking about your style when it comes to success. The questions related to whether I thought success was based on external or hereditary factors. My reaction to the result was not surprising. The report says that my success orientation is 60 out of 100. I have mixed attribution style style for success. It says that while I sometimes attribute my success to my skills etc, I also attribute it to external factors such as ease of task or other people's help. This seems to represent me well since I do not always take the credit I deserve and could probably improve my motivation if I believe that I am deserving enough. The test is fairly accurate for testing my thoughts on success. I agree that I am in the middle when it comes to my attribution style.
Egoism/Altruism Test: For this test, I answered questions asking about my likeliness to respond and help others in specific circumstances. I was given a lot of situations regarding school, relationships with others, normal everyday occurrences, etc. I have only encountered some of the circumstances that were given, so I had to think about what I would do in other occurrences. After I took the test, I got a score of 52 out of 100 for helpfulness. It means that I do not always go out of my way to help others all the time even though I am generally helpful person. If I help others, I do not do it only to expect something in return. Since this is an accurate representation of me, I was not surprised that I got these results. Therefore, I agree on the results that were given from this test and it seems to be valid enough for me.
